Summer is just around the corner ... and here at the Manlius Library Miss Kori, Miss Heather, and Miss Pam are gearing up for another busy, exciting summer of reading and programs for all ages and interests. Summer reading has been shown to improve academic performance~we make it fun and interactive, so join us! This month marks the last presentation in our Erie Canal series, where you will learn about the final phase of construction of this celebrated waterway. Also this month, don't miss our crowd-favorite Take a Bite Out of Fines where your generosity earns up to $5 of your fines waived~ four days only! Congratulations to grads and Happy Father's Day to dads.

Community Outreach 

Take a Bite Out of Fines
June 14-17 ONLY! 
With children home from school for the summer, it is even more important to donate to the F-M Community Outreach food pantry. Don't miss this special collection opportunity where one good turn sparks another. In appreciation of your donation, the library will waive up to $5.00 of your fines per card (Manlius-owned items only).

Items needed include: coffee, soup, tuna, canned fruit, peanut butter, jelly, juice, canned vegetables, beans, cereal, pasta, macaroni and cheese, paper products and laundry detergent. 
 

Veteran's FAVORCARD

The Manlius Library is proud to honor veterans and active duty military personnel. By showing your veteran's FAVORCARD or military ID, fines on all Manlius Library-owned items will be waived (some restrictions apply).

Teen Summer Reading Program
      

Gear up for summer reading, Manlius teens! This year's program is guaranteed fun and fresh! With the Teen Badge program you are doing what interests you. It's just the thing for teens who like to create, learn, and "do" and, of course, read!

Fourth of July Parade
      

Celebrate the 4th of July with the Manlius Library and friends! Children and parents can walk or stroll in the parade, toss candy and wear themed apparel (free to the first 25 children who sign up). Sign up on our Event Calendar or at the circulation desk beginning Monday, June 3. 

 
Dig into Reading @ Manlius Library
      
What books will you dig into this summer? On June 26, we're having a party to celebrate the return of a community favorite--our summer reading program. Lots of exciting activities will be held in the children's area of the library (unless otherwise noted). All summer program registrations will be available on our Event Calendar (see details below!).

Wednesdays, 2 - 8 pm

Come and stay as long as you like. We have 1,000s of LEGOs, including special characters and building pieces, to foster amazing creativity. No need to register or sign up--just come and create!
