Greetings!
Dear West Mercer families,
Happy Leap Month! February means love is in the air--class Valentines Day parties are afoot, with most parties scheduled for Friday the 12th. You may want to watch for updates and information from your room parent(s). February also gives us another chance for a break, with Mid-Winter break scheduled for the week of Presidents Day (Feb 15-19). Before the break, don't forget to register for the Science Fair and Spelling Bees if your child(ren) is interested! Also, TODAY and TOMORROW are performances of the school musical "Beauty and the Beast,"and you should have received details in an email blast.
Another important event this month: Please remember to vote on both the Capital Projects and Technology Levy and the Transportation Levy. You should have received your ballot, and returned ballots must be postmarked by February 9th!
Sincerely,
West Mercer PTA

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedure!
With the colder weather, more families are driving kids to school. A reminder about Drop-off/ Pick-up:
1. A group of cars enters the Drop-off/Pick-up Zone. The 1st car pulls all the way forward. 2. All cars in the "Zone" unload at the same time. For safety, have kids exit on the sidewalk side of your car. 3. All cars in the "Zone" will then exit the parking lot, following the black arrows. 4. The next group of cars then enters the "Zone" to unload. 5. The front door of the school should not be used for Drop-off or Pick-up.
Working in unison, the process goes much quicker. Thank you for your support. |
