THE WOLF

November 6, 2014

In This Issue

Greetings!

We hope you enjoyed fun Halloween celebrations in and out of your child's class! With Fall in full swing, we are all grateful to have clean water and power restored, and are starting to notice the darker evenings with the clock falling back an hour. November also brings us an opportunity to engage in civic duty on Election day, honor our Veterans, and slow down and remember the things we are thankful for. November also brings noon release days for report cards and Parent-Teacher conferences. We wish all the best to you and yours as we close out our first trimester of the 2014-15 school year.

Sad News

Nancy Burrill, West Mercer's beloved 1st Grade teacher, passed away Sunday October 19th.  Our school has lost a wonderful, caring educator, and her vibrant energy and kind heart will be deeply missed in our community. Our thoughts are with Nancy's family and friends in this difficult time.

Nancy expressly requested that no services be held for her, but there is a way for the West Mercer community to honor Nancy's memory. Details about how to contribute are on the West Mercer website.
