Jammin' in Jammies
Friday June 3rd, 7.30am - 9.00am

Aren't there days that you just want to stay in your jammies all day? Well, here is your chance to do so while at school! The Island Park PTA invites you all to join us for Jammin' in Jammies.

Everyone wear your PJs and join us for a fun breakfast catered by Chartwells that will include: pancakes, sausage, fruit, yogurt, milk, and coffee.Your child must be accompanied by an adult and siblings are welcome.

This is a NO COST event and not a fundraiser of any type. We want to send off and say goodbye to our graduating 5th graders, staff, and the children going to Northwood with a fun-filler community event that will include fun music and a bit of dancing.

Although Chartwells, is catering, we still need volunteers for set-up, clean-up and serving. Please consider giving an hour of your morning to help run this event smoothly.
Best part, you can wear your jammies!!

A WORD FROM THE LIBRARY

Greetings from the library!

The library has been very busy finishing up the last round of students choosing their Eagle Books. The Eagle Book program raised $6310.00 this year. That money purchased over 316 new books for the library. That is incredible! We are able to keep the library collection current and in good condition because of Eagle Books. The support of the Island Park community for their library is truly inspiring. An enormous "Thank You!" goes to everyone that participated.

The Book Swap is coming to the library June 13th-17th. The purpose of the Book Swap is for each student to end the school year with a little summer reading material. It is also for families to unload some bookshelves of books that students have outgrown. If you have gently loved books that you would like to give to the book swap, please drop them off in the library. Students will be able to select a book from the book swap the week of the 13th. Any leftover books will be donated to a local charity.

Is there a book hiding under your bed? All library books must be turned in by June 23rd, the last day of school. We will begin a limited check out the week of June 6th. June 10th will be the last day for student check out.

And finally, I have to give an enormous thank you to our library volunteers. The library can't function without you! Our volunteers have done everything from shelving books to tying shoes this year. Thank you, Lisa Patacsil, for being the Volunteer Coordinator. She kept us all on schedule. Thanks to Danielle Orr-Bement, Michelle Ritter, Laura Gabriel, Melinda Reimer, Galit Talby, Shanti Volkmann, Julia Hopta, Leslie Rousso, Claire Joinson, Melina Lin, Kale Kim, Alex Hart, Shelley Boyle, Suzanne Plambeck, Marni Seneker Heather Fowler, Beth Garr, Susan Black-Maas, Cara Perla, Kim Orndorff, Mandy Van Blerkom, Juanita Casarez and Katelyn Dolence. Volunteers, please stop by the library before the end of the year. I have a small token of my appreciation for you.

Have a wonderful and safe summer!

Brigit White
