Island Park Choir
Starts Tuesday, January 26th

All fourth and fifth
graders are invited to join the Island Park Choir for our winter session... and we hope to have many new voices joining our already wonderful choir!
We will learn music to perform at the All-District Choral Festival on Thursday March 24th joining together with the choirs from LR, WM, IMS and MIHS!
Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, January 26th at 8:00am in the music room. Look for more information coming home soon.

Vote "Yes!" Twice
For Capital Projects and Technology, Transportation Levy Renewals
Two levy renewals are being proposed in February 2016 that provide funding for critical capital improvements to protect our community's investments in our schools, new technology and transportation for students. These are renewals of current levies - there is no change to the current levy assessment rate. The last levy renewals were overwhelming approved by Mercer Island voters.

Family BINGO Night

Science Fun Night Experiment Leads wanted!
Volunteers need for this great night!Do you like conducting science experiments at home with your kids? Have a curious mind? We need you!
We are looking for parents to serve as Experiment Leads at PTA Science Fun Night on March 2nd from 6-8pm. No previous science or teaching experience is required! We will provide you with the activity instructions and all of the supplies and materials you need. You will present the information to the students and then enjoy watching the kids learning and having fun!

Winter Art Club Starts Jan 12th- Openings Still Available

Now registering for the Winter Session: Jan 12- Mar 17 on Tuesdays or Thursdays 3:30-5:00 pm after school in Room 22 for grades 1-5.
Join us for art making in a relaxed and fun group (max.12). We will use a variety of media and be inspired by major artists and themes, and build basic art vocabulary and skills. Snack included.

TechSmartKids After School Coding Courses
TechSmartKids after school computer coding classes on Mercer Island this winter begins Monday, January 11th.

We have to set teams and register with WA state girls lacrosse on the 1/15 and cannot add additional teams after this date. Registering on time helps us determine the optimal number of teams for playing time.

Super Sitters Babysitting Training This program is designed to train young people in basic babysitting and home-alone skills. Sponge Language Classes
Happy Holidays from Sponge! Fall activities are wrapping up, and it's time to start thinking about winter enrichment. Join Spanish or French at Island Park. Early language learning is such a wonderful gift, and with our immersion-based, spiral curriculum, students can successfully join at any time. Plus, we prorate for winter starts!
French is held before school from 8:00-9:00am on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Spanish has been very popular this year, and there's a few spaces left in our after school class on Mondays. All classes are held at Island Park.
