Thank you for another wonderful and productive school year.  I can't thank everyone enough for your endless hours of volunteering, chaperoning, reading, organizing, donating and doing whatever was necessary to support students-both at home and at school.  Special thanks to our PTA who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students' already rich school experience.

That experience could not occur without the endless energy, skills and devotion of the Island Park staff.  Thanks and well done to an incredible group of professionals.

Fond and very appreciative farewells are in order to staff members Beth Christofferson, Christy Kenyon, Jacqueline Ney, Beth Remy, Cyndy Carfi, Heidi Arvish, Anne Hritzay, Sandra Schwarz, Alexandra Schatz, Jennifer Flaningam, and Kevina Benoit, who, for a myriad of reasons, will be relocating or pursuing other interests and work next year. Thank you for nurturing and guiding our students throughout the years. 

Next fall, please stop by and say hello to Alicja Lacki, our new PLP (Personalized Learning Program) teacher and welcome back to Crystal Taitague, who will be returning to teach overload music a few days a week and Heather Sadler who is rejoining the fourth grade team. 

A final word to Island Park students:  Thank you for all your hard work throughout the school year.  I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be an Island Park Eagle.  You keep me laughing, young at heart and grateful for your joy, astute insights and amazing talents.  Best wishes to our graduating fifth graders.  Everyone have a safe and happy summer break.
