As a PTA, we fund numerous programs at Island Park that make our school a unique and wonderful place to learn. These programs could not happen without your financial support.  Click here to view PTA Programs.

Our goal is to achieve 100% donation participation from our Island Park Families.  If you have not yet donated, please consider doing so.  No donation is too small and every dollar counts.  Remember, your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!  Click here to DONATE NOW!

Bravo!

Thank you to Michelle Ritter for organizing the clothing drive to benefit First Place School in Seattle.

Kudos to our Student Council and Ms. McCann for overseeing the annual food drive.  And thank you also to the parents that helped deliver the food to the MIYFS food bank.  It took three cars to get it all there!!!

Great work again by Julietta Bell for overseeing the Reflections Art Contest again this year.  Big thanks for advertising the contest and getting students involved!
Parent Edge Rep needed!
Spot Still Vacant!

Join a group of engaged and fun parents representing all five Mercer Island schools and St. Monica's. Parent Edge committee members research topics and speakers to bring to our community. The team meet five to six times during the year to discuss marketing and planning for upcoming speaker events. Parent Edge is an important program under the Mercer Island School District PTA council. If you are interested, please contact Liz Kenny [email protected] for more information.

Calling all scientists!
Parent Volunteers needed for Science Olympiad Fun Night

We are busy planning the details for the upcoming Science Olympiad Fun Night scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The event will be an evening of hands-on science fun for all grades!

We will need a large number of parent volunteers to make the event a success!  Volunteers will assist with student check-in, provide support to the presenters, and serve as parent guides for the small groups during the hands-on activities.

We also want to tap into the talent we have here at Island Park as we seek facilitators for the various science activities!  Adding real scientists to the mix is a wonderful chance for the kids to interact with professionals in the field.  Facilitators of the science activities will be provided information to present, as well as all of the materials for the activity.

A variety of science activities in the following areas will be included in the Science Olympiad Fun Night:
  • research
  • medicine
    Science Fair
  • engineering
  • biology
  • physics
  • geology
  • aerospace
  • aviation
  • natural science
  • architecture
  • other sciences
If you have a background in a science field, this is a great opportunity to share your knowledge with Island Park students!

If you have questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact Michelle Ritter at  [email protected]
