Principal's Letter
Thank you Volunteers!

The woman's sartorial sense was as perplexing as her presence in the library each week. She always wore a gray, heavy wool coat with a black velvet collar. It didn't matter if it was the warmest of Nebraska spring days; the coat always cocooned the mysterious figure. The apparition reminded me of Snow White's apple-baiting nemesis. CONTINUE READING...

Student Council Update
Student Council has been hard at work all year! Classroom representatives from 3rd, 4th and 5th grades all turn up on time and take this role very seriously.
In this month's mtg., we discussed the next spirit day, which will be on April 25th to coincide with the Sock Hop - it is a 50's theme. The students also decided to sponsor a weekly clean up effort. The end of every week after spring break, each grade level, 3rd, 4th, & 5th, will be taking turns being in charge of cleaning up the playground.

From The Health Room
Antibiotics, What's The Use?
Antibiotics, What's The Use?Antibiotics are vital to recovery from bacterial infections. If prescribed by your pediatrician, it is essential that your child receive the complete regimen. This is true even if your child feels better. Stopping early encourages the growth of stronger bacteria. If your child has trouble swallowing pills, ask your nurse or pediatrician for help. Never hesitate to call your healthcare provider with questions about medications. Antibiotics are unnecessary and potentially harmful for people with viral infections. So when are antibiotics needed? ♦For a cough that lasts more than 14 days ♦For bacterial pneumonia or pertussis ♦If a sinus infection lasts more than 10 days ♦For yellow-green nasal discharge and fever more than102° F
