Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.
In 1951, the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of St. Louis began placing flags on the 150,000 graves at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery as an annual Good Turn.
Since the late 50's on the Thursday before Memorial Day, the 1,200 soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry place small American flags at each of the more than 260,000 gravestones at Arlington National Cemetery.
In Flanders Fields John McCrae, 1915. | In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. |
Where ever you go, what ever you do this Memorial Day, please take a moment to remember all the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. |

2. Why are we different?
Everyone is passionate about what we do, as well having a high level of compassion for the clients and passengers we serve.
I believe that each member of the team goes above and beyond what is expected of a transportation company. We are focused on making sure each transport successfully exceeds their expectations.

The caring, understanding and concern that our managers show for each of us on a personal level.

For me being able to help others and stay behind the scenes is what makes this the perfect fit for me.

Our passengers mean much more to us than just another transport. Many members of our team have become friends and even feel like family to our regular passengers.
