In this issue:
Trying Something New: Facebook group has become a hub for experiments in synod ministry

Additionally, we can always use some fresh voices and photographers for Ekklesia! If you're interested in writing or taking photos for the magazine - or if you have something you would like to submit - contact Communications Director Andy Merritt at amerritt@nesynod.org.

Host an ELCJHL Sunday
The New England Synod has a companion relationship with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land. With the renewed global focus on the region of the Middle East, the Global Mission Team would like to encourage and equip you to hold an ELCJHL Sunday - a chance to pray for and with our Palestinian sisters and brothers and increase our understanding of the region, conflict, people, and peace process. We are suggesting Sunday, January 18 or 25, 2015 as they begin and end the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, but you could also use the provided resources to plan a worship and/or education focus for any Sunday.
