Act 2Day 4Tomorrow
Oct. 3-4, 2014
Multiple sites

Junior and Senior High School students are invited to join one of five sites throughout the region that are participating in "Act 2Day 4Tomorrow," an ELCA-wide event taking place Oct. 3-4.

Act 2Day 4Tomorrow is an overnight event designed to give teenagers an opportunity to serve, reflect and learn about how they can help eradicate hunger and poverty in the world. This retreat uses the curriculum created by the ELCA World Hunger team.

Act 2Day 4Tomorrow is based on Acts 2:42 which illustrates the activities and behavior of the early disciples. The event includes fasting, activities, discussion, and reflection centered on seven faith practices: pray, study, worship, invite, encourage, serve and give.

Each activity is designed for "in the moment" learning and reflection to help youth apply what they discover in their own congregations and communities.

Reminder

Did you know the Synod offers access to the GoToMeeting and FreeConferenceCall online meeting platforms, free of charge? We do! They can be a great tool to connect with folks when distance is a barrier, and all you need is a computer and a reliable internet connection!

If you're interested in using those tools, we'd like to remind you to please coordinate and reserve all meetings through the synod office - before scheduling them with your team or committee. To reserve time, email Marianne Uva at muva@nesynod.org.
