CommFest 2014
Jan. 25, 2014

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church
Worcester, Mass.

After a successful communications seminar earlier this year, the Synod once again invites you to join us for a day spent discussing strategies and tips to help congregations better communicate - with their members and with the outside world. Speakers at CommFest 2014 include Pastor Keith Anderson (left, Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, Ambler, Pa.) and Elizabeth Drescher, co-authors of Click 2 Save: The Digital Ministry Bible.

Click here to register for CommFest! Seating at Trinity is limited, so those wishing to come to Worcester for the event should register soon.

Two satellite sites have been reserved for those who can't make it to Worcester:

Holy Trinity, Newington, N.H. - If you'd like to attend in Newington, please email Tim Roser at troser@nesynod.org to inquire about space.

Holy Trinity, Trumbull, Conn. - If you'd like to attend in Trumbull, click here to register.
Check out Ekklesia!
The second edition of Ekklesia, the Synod's new print-and-web newsletter, is now available for download.

Included in the fall edition of Ekklesia are stories on:
  • The All Right Ministry, which is dedicated to helping congregations be more open and welcoming to those with developmental disabilities and mental illness
  • The Creative Living Community of Connecticut, which provides a venue for adults with disabilities to work in a real, productive greenhouse environment
  • Churches working with LSS to aid immigrants who are settling into their new American homes
... as well as columns and a photo gallery from the historic 2013 ELCA Churchwide Assembly! Copies of Ekklesia have been sent to each of our congregations, but you can download a PDF version to keep for yourself by clicking here
