The Synod is in the process of implementing Safe Church Guidelines for all Synod related events and as suggestions for congregations to follow for their own congregational youth groups.

With the "perfect storm" in the past years with the Roman Catholic Church and Penn State Scandals, organizations that work with youth have adopted best practices to protect their youth. While surely not fool proof they provide a minimum level of protection for all youth and adults. 

In the coming months we will be offering suggested guidelines, resources and training for all congregational leaders who work with youth.
