Pastor from Honduras Visits New England: Two Chances to Learn More About Short-Term Mission Trips
Pastor Dagoberto Chacon' Rodrigues will be visiting New England congregations next week from January 15th -22nd.
His visit was originally planned as a surprise gift to Bishop Hazelwood for his installation, but had to be postponed until this month. There will be two opportunities to meet Dagoberto and to learn more about short-term mission trips to Honduras.
First, you are invited to dinner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Chelmsford, MA on Thursday evening, January 17th at 6:30 pm, with a program following at 7:30. This will be an opportunity to meet Pastor Chacon', learn more about Honduras, and consider upcoming mission trips in February and April. Please contact Pastor Dave Rinas as prdrinas@yahoo.com with an RSVP.
You can also meet Pastor Chacon' at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Charlestown, RI on Saturday evening, January 19th at 6:00 pm for a potluck gathering. If you have already been to Honduras, this will be a lively reunion to which you can bring your pictures, either paper or digital. If you want to learn more about the kind of impact a short-term mission trip can have on your congregation, there will be time to hear about the experiences of others and ask questions. He will also be present for worship at St. Andrew on Sunday morning. Contact Pastor Lisa Hazelwood at lisastoenhazelwood@gmail.com to RSVP. Please join us and find out more about what short-term mission trips might bring to community life in your congregation!
