Mission Trips to Honduras, 2013
Registration for the 2013 mission trips to Honduras is now open. We have been sending teams since 2005 helping to build a church ediface in Yuscaran, helping with education of children, sharing sewing skills, and forming lasting relationships with the people of Honduras, both in San Pedro Sula in the north, and Yuscaran in the south. While the construction tasks for 2013 are still being planned, the joy of visiting old friends and meeting new friends is as special as ever. You do not need to speak any Spanish, but if you speak some, you will have ample opportunities to greet people in their language. We already share the language of Love in the Name of Jesus. 2012 Tree of Life Conferences
Friends of Sabeel of North America and The Tree of Life Educational Fund are pleased to offer this series of conferences on Israel and Palestine. Our special focus will be on "Education: How Can We Embrace Our Common Humanity." In both Israel and the occupied territories, increasing numbers of Jews, Muslims and Christians have reached the conclusion that the Land of Promise will be truly promising when those who live there learn to embrace their common humanity and share that sacred and fragile land. In this series of conferences, you will have the opportunity to hear from a number of Palestinian, Israeli and American voices of conscience, and our hope is that their stories and their compelling visions of a more peaceful world will inspire us to follow their lead.
