Does your personal financial plan include crossing your fingers and hoping an emergency won't come along? Do you have any idea what your "net worth" is? When did you last have a "money meeting" with your family?

If financial planning sounds too complicated for you and you're not sure where to begin, I've got three simple steps that will explain how to get started in this month's video.
Most everybody has some kind of investment account. But will it get you where you want to go? Find out how financial plans are like vacations in this month's tip!
Reading can boost your brain power, and we all want to be smarter, don't we? We're using this section to share a fascinating nonfiction read each month, not necessarily financial. This month's book is fiction, but depicts what could happen to the USA in the event of an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack. If you don't think it could ever happen here, first do your homework.
(Almost) Famous Recipes of the Month:

food into a special treat. It's still not too late to get a crop of rosemary, basil, and oregano going, but you can also find what you need at the grocery - go ahead, give it a try!

Life has been busy at the Milestones offices! Michelle and Alex recently welcomed the incoming freshman class at Murray State with financial tips and gift certificates.

And I'm enjoying my first experience mentoring another fee-only CFP, Audry Batiste (shown below) of Las Vegas, NV.
It's amazing what we can do with a little willpower - and FaceTime!

Oh, yes, the Bobfather and I have some new triplets on the farm. Fortunately, these babies are miniature goats (each about 6" tall) and no college funds will be needed!

  Hugs and Cheers,
