NNED Environmental Conference Canceled
Dear Friends,
The April 27 NNED Environmental Conference is canceled.
If those that registered had been able to come together, exploration, conversation and learning would have been very rich, but 20 people is not enough to be sustainable. It is hard to say why registration was low, but we do know that the date was a risk given that Earth Day, the district Annual Meeting and school vacations were all happening in the same month. It may also be true that work for environment sustainability tends to focus locally. Collaboration may be more likely to happen in clusters rather than across three states. I hope you continue to explore together ways to strengthen this important ministry. The conference is canceled but Letter Boxing, rain barrel installation, and planting local species on the Audubon property will take place beginning 10 AM. If you are local, please come and bring your own lunch. Of course there will be no charge. With thanks for the spirit and skill you bring to our faith and world, and For All Earth
Rev. Karen Brammer Northern New England District
