Lance Lipinsky & the Lovers
Series on Thursday, June 23rd when Lance Lipinsky & the Lovers takes   the Gazebo Stage to perform a 2-hour concert that begins at 7 pm.  This high-energy piano pumping band will perform early classic rock and country twang as well as rockabilly hits from the 1950-60's era.  Food and drink concession service begins at 6 pm so come out early and enjoy signature entrees from our featured vendor  CHARKIES.

Shout Out
On Thursday, June 30th, Shout Out, the area's premiere dance rock band will perform 2 hours of dance rock songs from the 1970 thru today hits. Caputo's Fresh Market is the featured food vendor so come out early and enjoy a picnic meal on the beautiful Town Center grounds with family, friends and neighbors. 
 Each week patrons can enjoy fresh frozen custard from Culver's and beer and hard lemonade service from the local Rotary Club.

Extended Vehicle Registration Schedule

The 60-day vehicle registration period will conclude on Thursday, June 30th at midnight at which time all local vehicle owners must have purchased and affixed an official 2016-17 vehicle sticker to the lower right portion of their vehicle's front windshield. The Village has established extended registration hours to accommodate those who have yet to purchase a 2016-17 vehicle sticker(s):

2015 Consumer Confidence Report on Drinking Water Quality

The national Safe Drinking Water Act mandates water utilities to provide their drinking water customers a Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) by July 1st of each year. This water quality report details the results of independent and certified laboratory data analyzing the quality of the drinking water a utility supplies to its customers. The Village has just posted its 2015 CCR on its website for review. FREE Child Safety Seat Check Up

The Carol Stream Police Department, Fire Protection District in partnership with Northwestern Medicine
will host a FREE Child Safety Seat Check Up
this Saturday, June 25th from 10 AM - 2 PM at Fire Station #28 located at 365 N. Kuhn Rd.  Under Illinois law, children 8 years old and under must be secured in an appropriate child safety seat. West Nile Virus THREAT INDEX

The Village has linked the DuPage County Health Department's West Nile Virus (WNV) index on our homepage to inform residents of the amount of WNV activity in the county. The index rating system ranges from 0 to 3 with 0 indicating no threat to 3 representing a heightened (high) threat. The index is a current snapshot in time of WNV activity during a  7 day period from Wednesday thru Tuesday of the following week. The Index is updated every Wednesday at 3:00 pm all throughout mosquito season. Each index rating includes a recommended list of prevention measures a resident should take to protect themselves and their family members from mosquito bites. Those most susceptible to contracting  West Nile Virus are young children, the elderly or those with chronic illness whose immune system is suppressed.   
Police Department Unclaimed Bike & Equipment Auction

The Carol Stream Police Department invites both residents and the general public to attend an auction during which unclaimed bicycles and other surplus property and equipment including electronics, antiques and collectibles as well as other valuables will be sold to the highest registered bidder. The auction will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at 5:00 PM. at Auctions by Jennifer located at 883 E. Geneva Rd. in Carol Stream.
Garage Sale Restrictions

The Village Code limits homeowners to holding no more than 3 garage sales on their property nor participate in more than 5 multi-property garage sales each year. Garage sale events cannot exceed 3 consecutive days in duration (Thu. - Sun.). In addition, the Village's Sign Code (Ch 6, Sec. 11) limits the size, quantity and placement of garage sale signs.  
  
Maximum Sign Area - 36 sq. ft.    Maximum Sign Height - 4 ft. 
 
Total Signs allowed in the Public Right-of-Way-  Maximum of 4 signs

Signs Allowed in the Intersection Sight Triangle - the maximum height of signs allowed in the 25 degree sight triangle is 30 in. (2.5 ft.)
 
Times: Garage sale signs can be posted Thursday - Sunday between 9 AM - 6 PM and must be removed at the end of each day of the garage sale.
 
Restrictions: No attention-grabbing devices such as balloons, streamers, flashing lights or pennants can be attached to garage sale signs.
 
Adhesive sticker with name and daytime phone of the person posting the sign must be affixed to the back of each sign.
 
Traffic Directional Sign: A resident holding a garage sale is allowed to place ONLY 1 intersection sign at any intersection directing motorists in any one direction.
 
Gary Ave./Lies Rd. Intersection-  NO garage sale signs can be placed at any of the 4 corners of this intersection.

Park District Collecting School Supply Donations Thru June 30th
 
The Carol Stream Park District is collecting donations of new or gently used
school supplies as well as books and back packs thru Thursday, June 30th. Collection bins are located in the lobbies of the following Park District facilities:

Legion Post 76 to Host Summer Classic Baseball Tourney

The American Legion Post 76 will host their 9th Annual Summer Classic Legion Youth Baseball Tournament at Pfund Field Friday, June 17th thru Sunday, June 19th. Mayor Frank Saverino will throw out the 1st pitch this Friday at 8:30 am to officially kick off the 9th annual tournament that includes 20 legion-sponsored baseball teams from 5 states who will compete head-to-head in pool play competition. Come out and cheer on the Legion Post 76's Thunder baseball team.
