Summertime on Weiss Lake... fishing, boating, skiing, relaxing, and more. We are proud to report the Alabama Bass Trail Fishing Tournament held on Weiss Lake drew a big crowd of Anglers and supporters on June 18th at Leesburg Landing. Winners had five fish weighing 23.25 pounds, with big bass weighing 7.31 pounds. The Town of Leesburg did a fantastic job hosting the tournament. Special thanks to Mayor Pierce and Leesburg Volunteers for all their long hours and hard work. Also, thanks to Derrick and his staff at Coosa Corner for their great hospitality. We appreciate Tucker's Chapel Volunteer Fire Department for furnishing hamburgers and hotdogs during the day and at weigh-in. ABT Staff was very pleased at our community efforts and support. See ABT website for details on winners and results. American Bass Anglers Fishing Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 9th at Little River Marina. Come out and support these Anglers as they weigh-in at 3:00 pm.
Get out and enjoy all the adventures in Cherokee County and surrounding area this summer...hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, and more.
