Greetings!
The Chamber of Commerce held the Annual Meeting on April 21, 2016 in the Gadsden State Cherokee Arena.
David Crawford gave the welcome for the evening.
Jennifer Mackey, Leesburg Town Clerk gave the invocation.
Dinner prepared by the Chamber Staff and Carol Jordan and served by Chamber Ambassadors and the CCHS Fishing Team.
Award Presentations began with the Beautification Award presented to First Southern State Bank with Gregg Rosser accepting, Joy Perry presenting.
W.A. Dub Ellis Award presented to the Nettie King Brown Clearing House. Accepting the award was Kay Davis, Dewandee Neyman, Angie Tillery and Cinda Snead. Presented by Johnny Roberts
The Mary George Waite Spirit Award was presented to Jeff Shavers. Presented by Thereasa Hulgan.
The Chairman's Merit Award presented by Luanne Hayes went to Don & Barbara Harris for the outstanding work they have done in our county.
The Chairman Appreciation Award was given to David Crawford, with Thereasa Hulgan presenting.
The annual business meeting was called to order by Chairman David Crawford. He presented nominations of candidates to serve on the executive committee. They were Dennis Trammell, Craig Gilley, Luanne Hayes. With a motion and second the motion carried.
Board members to serve a 2 year term presented was Johnny Roberts, Beth Baker, Casey Young, and Barbara Harris. With none opposing the motion carried.
A motion to adjourn the business meeting was made by Dennis Trammell.
Luanne Hayes of the CCIDA introduced the entertainer Hypnotist, Mark Maverick.
