 MARCH GREETINGS

Irina color pic

Dear NEPTA Members,

After such a long and unfriendly winter we are finally getting welcomed with the colors and warmth of spring! I hope you are all in touch with nature and ready to refresh and renew your professional activities, rejuvenating creativity for daily pedagogical challenges.

At the February Speaker Series event our guest George Litterst gave us a remarkable presentation on "Catching up with the 21st Century: Practical Technologies that Give Wings to Your Teaching". Our next musical journey "From Tundra to West Texas: Folksongs in Piano Literature" is scheduled on March 24th with the guest speaker Joseph Smith. Please join us at this exciting event as well as at the upcoming April 7th Teachers' Exchange focusing on teaching adults and Student Master Class with the internationally acclaimed pianist and pedagogue Oxana Yablonskaya on April 28th. The next NEPTA Newsletter will be distributed in the very beginning of May. If you would like to announce any upcoming piano events in that issue, please submit them to gelmanpiano@aol.com before April 20th.

I look forward to seeing you at upcoming NEPTA events soon!

Warm regards,

Irina Y. Gelman

President

PARKING REMINDER
PARKING METER -COLLEEN CAMPBELL Please be aware that Watertown has restricted parking on the side streets immediately surrounding the First Parish and thus eliminating any "free parking". The metered spots in the parking lot adjacent to the church can accept coins up to a maximum of 8 hours (blue meters only), thereby removing the need to go feed the meter during our meeting breaks, offering instead an opportunity to socialize with NEPTA friends and colleagues.
