After a healthy pregnancy, Maria and Jose are enjoying the beautiful gift of parenthood. Baby Xavi now joins his proud mommy in MOMS Orange County's Home Visitation Program.
Like many mothers, Maria has overcome some breastfeeding challenges. After attending our classes and receiving one-on-one support, Maria is successfully breastfeeding and reducing her and Xavi's risk for developing diabetes later in life.
Xavi is showing great progress in reaching important developmental milestones. Miriam, their Home Visitor, teaches Maria and Jose daily activities to help stimulate Xavi's early brain development. At only 4 months old, he is on track with eye contact, recognition of faces and voices, fine motor skills & vocalization!
As Maria and Xavi continue the Home Visitation program, we look to the generosity of our friends and donors to support this essential service for other families in our community.
