OptiPro Presents Latest Technological Developments at Recent SBIR Review Meeting
Winter 2015 SBIR Review Meeting
Ed Fess, R&D Manager at OptiPro, shares updates on active SBIR projects.
OptiPro recently hosted the bi-annual SBIR Review Meeting on January 27th, which highlights the exciting SBIR research being conducted by a variety of companies serving the precision optics industry. The event was well-attended, even despite the less-than-ideal timing of a major snowstorm in the northeast. This past meeting featured presentations from OptiPro, U.S. Navy, Optimax Systems, CeraNova Corporation, Bridger Photonics, and the Center for Freeform Optics (CeFO).

OptiPro engineers shared the latest technological advancements on a variety of solutions for optical manufacturing, including UltraForm Finishing, UltraSurf, and OptiSonic. In addition, updates on PROSurf, OptiPro's innovative CAM software tailored to freeform optics manufacturing, were presented as the product nears commercialization.

Upon the conclusion of the open meeting, OptiPro hosted a networking event at our 30,000 square foot facility where guests were able to see live demonstrations of OptiPro's innovative optical fabrication platforms.

OptiPro recognizes the importance of the SBIR program to facilitate the advancement of American-made technology for precision optics fabrication. The development of these solutions will not only help precision optics manufacturers prosper, but also achieve cost-effective manufacturing of current and future military optical components.

We would like to thank everyone that was able to attend! Click here to see images from the meeting, as well as the post-meeting networking event at OptiPro.
