OptiPro SystemsRaising the Bar for 40 Years: Flow Waterjet Turns 40

When Flow first started back in 1974, waterjet technology was in its infancy and at the time there was really only one type of waterjet - and that was pure waterjet.

The waterjet industry would forever change when a brilliant PHD student asked a question: What would happen if he fired a pure waterjet stream through a cup filled with sand and ash?

The result? A faster cutting speed.

That student was Dr. Mohamed Hashish, who continues to guide Flow's research and development teams today.

Adding abrasive to high pressure water allowed Flow waterjets to cut not just a couple materials well, the company realized you could cut virtually any material well.

Today, Flow is helping customers cut anything and everything. If there is an application, they have a solution.

Read the story behind Flow's 40 year history and discover how you can improve your processes with waterjet technology.

OptiPro SystemsEnvisionTEC Success Story: Crane Pumps & Systems Uses 3SP™ Technology in Sand-Casting Process
EnvisionTEC Ultra 3SP
The impeller above is one example of the many parts 3D printed at CP&S.

Crane Pumps & Systems is a manufacturer of pumps, accessories and services that provides solutions for aqueous applications including water, HVAC, pressure sewers, pumping and dewatering for wastewater, municipal and military market segments.

CP&S formerly used less efficient methods to obtain parts. The company paid a 3D print bureau to 3D print their plastic, or they paid to have the pattern made and have the metal parts poured directly. The 3D printer from EnvisionTEC would not only allow them to hold designs in-hand, but test the design as well.

The EnvisionTEC ULTRA® 3SP™ allows the production group at CP&S to test their parts more efficiently, rework iterations and come up with final prototypes more quickly than they were able to previously. A month and a half after receiving their machine in January, CP&S was developing products.

Rethink the way you do business with EnvisionTEC 3D Printers. Contact OptiPro today for more information or to request a quote.

Sincerely,
OptiPro Systems
