OptiPro Ranks #6 on Rochester Top 100 List! |
OptiPro returned to the Rochester Top 100 Companies list in 2012 by ranking #6, our highest ranking ever!
The Rochester Top 100, now in its 26th year, ranks privately held companies based on the three most recent years of revenue growth. Companies must have at least $1 million in revenue for each of those years, and rankings take into account both dollar and percentage growth.
OptiPro would like to thank our loyal customers for helping us achieve this great honor. OptiPro truly appreciates the business relationships we have developed and maintained over the years with our customers, as well as the new ones we established in 2012. And, as always, we will continue to help our customers prosper through innovative manufacturing solutions.

Productivity Plus to be Introduced as a New Add On in Mastercam X7 |
In the coming months, Mastercam Ultra-News will be highlighting sneak previews regarding Mastercam X7. This month, we will focus on Productivity Plus, a new add-on that will give the end user the ability to run probing routines in the Mastercam environment. Having this add-on will eliminate the need for complex probing macros. With Productivity Plus, the end user can create automated operations for: part set-up, tool height, tool breakage, and inspection/reporting of basic geometric features (points, planes, circles, pocket sizes). Mastercam and Renishaw have worked together to develop this user friendly feature. The operator can now simply select a feature to probe directly from the CAD model, and request the type of measurement needed. The Renishaw probing dialog opens (see below) and the operator can now choose to measure:
- Point, line, circle, plane
- 2D corner, 3D corner
- Web or pocket
- Construction point, circle, and planes
- Tool setting, if-then-else, go-to statements
- Reporting
- and more
Upon the release of X7, controls supported will include Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, and Heidenhain, with other to follow shortly after.
Please contact OptiPro for more information and keep an eye out for more X7 sneak previews in the upcoming monthly newsletters. |
