This is very inspiring!
Roger Yates has been vegan for over 34 years
..."
I'm healthier. Veganism has been good for me. I used to suffer bad migraine headaches as a child and these stopped once I went vegan. My general fitness level is pretty good, although I am slightly overweight, even as a vegan. I still play sports to a decent level at 55." When I asked if he's ever been on and off the bandwagon with veganism, he replies "Never - and I think that's due to the ethical thrust of my veganism." Read More Here on this story and many others

Among Wolves: Gordon Haber's Insights Into Alaska's Most Misunderstood Animal by Priscilla Feral
Book Review Excerpt:
... A mutual friend, Barbara Brease, mentioned the story Gordon told her about a wolf whose mate was killed in Alaska's predator control program. "That wolf took his mate's carcass and buried it, then lay down on top of it for ten days. (Gordon) was upset about it but also more moved than ever to help others understand the unique social relationships these wolves had, and what made them such a complex species," she said.
"Just like wolves," the author concluded, "we humans accomplish things only in community." More of the book review here: http://friendsofanimals.org/magazine/winter-2013-14/among-wolves#sthash.gAHUQ6KZ.dpuf

DO NOT take multivitamins that contain folic acid.and If you are pregnant,
DO NOT take prenatal vitamins that contain folic acid!
Dr. Fuhrman explains the dangers of taking folic acid supplements and to instead get it from the food itself (he has a wonderful chart of the plant foods that are rich in folate- there are so many!). More here
