PEARL's annual Electrical Safety, Reliability and Sustainability Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans (May 18-20, 2013) brought together 115 attendees, making it the third-highest attended conference in its 16-year history. Ken McComas received the Member of the Year award for 2012, and Jerry Maggard of Breaker Hunters, Inc., won both the $3,000 cash as first prize in the raffle and the Kindle Fire as second prize.
At the conference, PEARL also elected new board members: Stephen Reames (President), Stuart Jackson (Vice President), Bob Wrobel (Treasurer), Doug Powell (Secretary), Malcom Frederick (Past President), Howard Herndon (Director), and Dave Rosenfield (Director). New Remanufacturing Industry Council Director Wants to Define, Raise Remanufacturing Awareness
Derek Guest, the new executive director of the Remanufacturing Industry Council (RIC), has two major goals: expanding RIC membership and more clearly identifying what the industry does. PEARL is assisting in these initiatives as part of a committee tasked with defining remanufacturing.
