Friday, 2/15, 2-7pm, and Saturday, 2/16, and Sunday, 2/17, from 10am-4pm: LEGOLAND Discovery Center Job Fair. LEGOLAND at Ridge Hill is looking to recruit up to 100 workers for positions in retail, admission, photography, entertainment, food and beverage, ride operation, housekeeping, and management. The highly anticipated interactive facility is expected to be a tourist destination when it opens on 3/27, drawing an estimated 300,000 to 350,000 visitors annually. LEGOLAND human resource executives will be on hand to meet and interview qualified candidates. Applicants should bring a resume and references. "We are looking for outgoing, enthusiastic and 'can do' self-starters who have excellent communications and customer service skills, and of course are passionate about all things Lego," said general manager Chris Mines. The job fair will be held in the WestMed building at 73 Market St in Ridge Hill, off I-87 at the Ridge Hill exit.

Saturday, 2/16, 12-4pm: Presidents' Day at Philipse Manor Hall. Presidents George Washington and Franklin Delano Roosevelt both visited Philipse Manor Hall and you can do the same! The Presidents' Day celebration will include presidential quizzes, scavenger hunt, mock election, and hourly story times. Visitors will also have a chance to make their own set of George Washington's false teeth and create presidential bookmarks. All activities for the day are included in the cost of museum admission: adults $5, children and seniors $3 (kids under 12 are FREE). More info: 914.965.4027 x102. Saturday, 2/16, 1pm: Owls. Give a hoot and join the staff of Lenoir Nature Preserve for an investigation of the world of owls. Find out what they eat and what adaptations allow them to hunt at night. For children 5-10 years old. Registration required at 914.968.5851. Lenoir Preserve is a 39-acre Westchester County Park situated on a ridge overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. The Preserve is on Dudley St. off North Broadway just north of Executive Blvd.

Saturday, 2/16, 6-8:30pm: Grand Opening of Bonefish Grill. This new restaurant at Ridge Hill invites you to a Fundraising Benefit for Habitat fo r Humanity. Bonefish Grill will be serving samplings of their signature appetizers, market-fresh fish and wood-grilled specialties. Additional tasting include libations like specialty martinis, bar-fresh cocktails, craft beers and adventurous wines. $35 per person and all proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. Monday, 2/18, through Friday, 2/22, 1-4pm: Schools Out, Stars Are In. Students on school break join Hudson River Museum educators and Jr Docents for creative activities and Planetarium shows. On 2/18, learn the tide and flow of the Hudson River. On 2/19, learn about a marsh and make a marsh diorama. On 2/20, learn
about muskrats and sculpt your own model. On 2/21, learn about Hudson plants and make your own cattail. On 2/22, make a marsh bird from Hudson landscape. All FREE with Museum admission. Tuesday, 2/19 through Friday, 2/22, 10am-2pm: Winter Adventures Camp. Join the Beczak educators and learn how Hudson River creatures survive during the cold months. Children ages 7-10 will participate in daily art projects, nature crafts, owl pellet dissections, campfire games, river scavenger hunts and more! Dress accordingly for the weather. Rain/snow or shine (indoor and outdoor components daily). Participants must bring a bagged lunch. Hot cocoa and snack will be provided. $200 for full 4-day program or $60 per day. Wednesday, 2/27, 6pm: A Tribute to Langston Hughes. Join Youth Theatre Interactions (YTI) in a celebration of Black History Month  through song, dance and the spoken word. The program will feature "A Tribute to Langston Hughes," performed by the Intimate Realities Drama Company as well as vocal solos, a performance by YTI's Percussion Drummers and an African Dance finale. Thursday, 2/28, 4:30pm: "The Color of Fear." In this film, eight North American men (two African men, two Latinos, two Asian American, and two Caucasian) were gathered for a dialog about the state of race relations in America as seen through their eyes. The exchanges are sometimes dramatic, and put in plain light the pain caused by racism in North America. FREE. At the Yonkers Riverfront Library across the street from the Yonkers train station.

The Panoramic River, the Hudson and the Thames is the  current show at the Hudson River Museum. In the late 18th century, British artists developed the large-scale panorama, which became a popular form of entertainment in Europe and the United States. The Hudson River Museum's exhibition, "The Panoramic River, the Hudson and the Thames" explores the panoramic vista as the ideal expression for a new, all-embracing way of seeing the landscape that influenced how the public and artists perceived it as well. What's Happening at the Racquet Club:
The Racquet Club is a year-round private membership organization nestled in the Park Hill section of Yonkers. Established as the Park Hill Country Club in 1892, it is a family club beautifully situated on 2+ acres, welcoming members from many diverse backgrounds. The Club has 4 clay tennis courts, a pool, vintage bowling lanes, kids' playgroup, and social events year-round (see upcoming events below). Interested in joining?
