STAR Testing Continues until June 3

STAR Testing was adopted by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles to provide data on the progress of Catholic school students, as a group and individually. Testing three times during the year has provided data which is invaluable to teachers and administrators, helping to plan instruction and follow the development of each student and each class of students.

The students in grades 2-8 take a Reading and Math test, each of which takes about 30 minutes to accomplish. In Pony(PreK), Kindergarten, and Grade 1 the test measures Early Literacy. Thanks to the capability of electronic test taking, every test is individual to the student taking the test.

Now with our third and last session of testing, we will have the opportunity to compare student and school growth over the entire school year and reflect on areas where we can improve. It also gives us the means to measure our accomplishments.

Boys Varsity Soccer

The team will be playing in the championship match this Thursday, May 26. Cathedral High School at 6:30PM.

Boys Varsity Volleyball

The team advances to the championship match this Thursday, May 26th at Providence High School (Burbank) at 6:15PM.

AMS Pre-Season Sports Camps

These camps are optional and meant to help students feel comfortable and prepared for tryouts the first day of school.

No signs ups required. Come the first day and be ready to have fun.

Girls Varsity Volleyball Camp (7th and 8th grade)

Monday - Friday Aug. 15-19th 9am-12pm Cost $130

Girls Volleyball Camp for 5th and 6th grade

Monday - Friday Aug 15 -19th 1-3pm Cost $80

Girls Volleyball Camp for 4th grade

Monday and Tuesday Aug. 22 and 23rd 9-11am Cost $35

Boys Varsity Football Camp (7th and 8th grade)

Summer at American Martyrs 2016

American Martyrs School is pleased to announce a partnership with Galileo Innovations Camps for Kids. Beginning this summer, American Martyrs will be home to Galileo summer programming. Galileo delivers a broad array of exceptional educational offerings for grades by offering programming for K-5th grades (Camp Galileo) and 5th - 8th grades (Galileo Summer Quest). Wrapped in four fresh themes for 2016, every week is an imagination-sparking adventure. Open to the Manhattan Beach community, AMS is happy to welcome Galileo to the South Bay.
