Science Fair - Wed, Feb 17th - 6:30-8:00 pm
Everyone is invited to visit the AMS Science Fair from 6:30 to 8:00 tonight in O'Donnell Hall.  This year our 7th grade life scientists are displaying their knowledge of using the scientific method in an array of interesting projects. They would love to interact with you as they explain their projects and what they have learned.

Soles4Souls

PLEASE Donate your old shoes to Soles4Souls
Together with Grades of Green, AMS will be collecting shoes THIS week ONLY for "Soles4Souls". Bring your old (gently used) shoes and help us put shoes on the feet of over 300 million Children around the world who are shoeless. Look for collection bins in the school office, at registration pick up, at the AMS 5K and after all Masses February 20-21. Please tie laces together or rubber band to keep shoes in pairs. Thank you!

Lenten Mass Schedule 
This Thursday's 8am Mass will have a student collection for Together in Mission, our schools chance to participate in this important program for the parishes and schools throughout our archdiocese who are in great need of our financial help.  Please have your child give some small donation in the envelope provided and bring it to school this Thursday. No food items this week, just the envelopes.

Bunny Time!
We are collecting NEW stuffed animals to go into Easter baskets for children residing at The Good Shepherd Center. This center serves approximately 1,000 homeless women and children annually, and houses up to 93 women and 45 children each night. Through comprehensive programs, they help homeless women every step of the way, giving them the tools and support they need to achieve self-sufficient lives.
Bring your plush bunnies, ducks, giraffes, etc to the school office before Mon, March 21. Thank you for donating to this worthy cause.
March 3 Curriculum Night - STAR Assessments
The subject of our curriculum night on Thursday, March 3rd from 7:00 to 8:00 will be further understanding of the results of our STAR Assessments after our recently completed third round of testing.  The meeting will be in the St. Kateri room.   Results of the latest testing will be coming home in the following Wednesday (March 9th) family envelope.
Student Art & Photography Contest 
The Neptunian Woman's Club of Manhattan Beach is sponsoring its 38th Student Art and Photography Contest for grades K-5 (art) and 6-12 (art and photography). Deadline for submission to the school office is Mon, Feb 22 before 3pm.  An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday March 6th, 2016 at 1pm in the Neptunian clubhouse.

6th - 8th grades are eligible to tryout  (students are expected to come both days)
 
Boys Varsity Volleyball Tryouts: Mon. March 7th and Wed. March 9th, 3-5pm
Only 7th and 8th grades are eligible to tryout (students are expected to come both days)

Exceptional Kids Valentines' Dance  Thurs, Feb 19th 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM, South Bay Adult School, Edison Center, 3401 Inglewood Avenue, Redondo Beach.  The EKO is dedicated to helping all kids with physical or development disabilities in the South Bay area. We focus on providing social activities that help normalize the lives of these special needs teens. E-mail
