As has become the 'way to win a BBC tournament', Marlin Darlin's three Blue Marlin, one White Marlin and a Sailfish earned them the victory in the Treasure Cay Championship. Like the winners of the Guana Cay Championship and Green Turtle Cay Championship, the 3-1-1 combo of releases added up to 2100 points for the win.  Bob Jacobsen's 62' Spencer from Clearwater, Florida clinched the victory in the third leg of the 2014 Bahamas Billfish Championship series. Their win earns them the overall top spot on the leaderboard.

2012 BBC Champion Frank Rodriguez, guided Team Fa La Me to a second place finish with three Blue Marlin releases and a White Marlin release. The 70' Viking from Indian Shores, Florida released a White Marlin on day one, two Blue Marlin on day two and on day three released their third Blue Marlin.

Team Wave Paver, led by team captain Jr. Davis, added their points by releasing a Blue Marlin each day. Consistency was the key for the Kissimmee, Florida team as it earned them the third place finish.

June 18th - 22nd is the 4th and final leg of the 2014 Bahamas Billfish Championship. The tournament is hosted by Abaco Beach Resort & Boat Harbour Marina. 

The last tournament is historically exciting as the overall BBC Champion is not set in stone and anyone can win. This year will be no different! Going into the last leg, the current leader, Marlin Darlin, and the 3rd place boat, Torta, will not be fishing. That means any of the boats in the top 12 has a chance to become the 2014 Champion.

 Even if your not in the hunt for the Championship, come and catch that record breaking blue marlin! The blue marlin are in the Abacos!! Don't miss out on the excitement!

 This year's overall trophy has been designed by the fine glass craftsmen of Italy's  Orovetro Murano. This hand blown, 24" glass blue marlin was commissioned exclusively for the BBC.  The trophy will be awarded to the 2014 Bahamas Billfish Champion at the Marsh Harbour Championship. The piece has a serial number and comes with a certificate of authenticity from Orovetro Murano. It is a piece of art that will be proudly displayed by this year's Champion!
