Vets4Warriors, a Rutgers-run facility in Piscataway, works closely with the Military Crisis Line. Founded on the model of Cop2Cop, the program is staffed almost entirely by veterans and family members of veterans. In 2013, U.S. Army Ranger veteran Patrick McCabe first contemplated returning to college. He decided against re-enlisting for another two-year stint, which led him to enrolling at Rutgers as a sophomore last fall. Head lacrosse coach Brian Brecht said, "he's provided the kind of leadership that can't be underestimated."More here...  


Alumna Patricia Jones Frost, a brigadier general in the U.S. Army, is deputy commanding general for operations at the U.S. Army Cyber Command. She has been deployed around the world, including to Afghanistan, Iraq, Europe, and the Philippines. Frost RC'87 also commanded the 125th Military Intelligence Battalion for Operation Iraqi Freedom. More here...


Rutgers University President Robert L. Barchi announced that the Institute on Ethnicity, Culture and the Modern Experience will henceforth bear the name of its founder, the late Dr. Clement Alexander Price, Rutgers Board of Governors Distinguished Service Professor of History. The announcement was made to an overflow crowd of hundreds gathered in tribute to Price held at the Newark Museum, culminating day-long events surrounding the 35th annual Marion Thompson Wright Lecture More here...
