You Joined to Support the Library
Now Volunteer to Get Involved!

Thanks for being a member of Friends of the Marion Library! We appreciate your support of the organization.

Do you know there are ways you can volunteer and get involved beyond paying your annual membership dues?

Consider volunteering to sort books for the bookstore and book sales, to work in the bookstore, to help out at the sales! We need volunteers for regular bookstore shifts, for substitute shifts, and for sorting. We have book sales two times a year and need assistance with transporting boxes of books, set-up, sales, and tear down. Volunteer as much or as little as you like: we appreciate every minute you can help!

We particularly need volunteers now for our May 16-18 book sale! Consider contacting us if you can help.

To volunteer as a sorter or in the store, contact Sue Verhille, bookstore manager, at sver4@yahoo.com. If you are interested in helping with our book sales, contact either Mike Schmidt (mdschmid@msn.com) or Judy Kingery (jdkingery19@gmail.com).

Book Sale
Book Sale Scheduled for May
Friends Members Get Benefits

The May 2014 book sale is scheduled for the weekend of May 16-18; this is the same weekend as the Marion Arts Festival. As long as you'll be Uptown to see the art, you may as well come over to the library for the book sale!

Did you know that Friends members are the ONLY folks allowed into the semi-annual Friends Book Sales on opening night? You get to come in and browse all the hottest selections before anyone else even sees them!

In addition, for our upcoming May sale, we are offering Friends members one FREE book, your choice, with the purchase of any book at our discounted sale prices (limit is one FREE book of equal or lesser value per member). This special sale deal is good for Friday night, May 16 only! Take advantage of your member perks and join us at the sale!
