Coffeehouse Fiction
|
Meets the third Tuesday each month at Wit's End Coffeehouse (630 10th St), 4:00-5:00pm.
May 20. We'll discuss Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Historical fiction based on a very real period in American history in which more than 200,000 orphaned children were shipped west over a period of 70 years. Moving between contemporary Maine and Depression-era Minnesota, Orphan Train is a powerful tale of upheaval and resilience, second chances, and unexpected friendship.
Reminder: We take a Summer break after our May discussion--see you in September!
