Since Christmas and News Years both fall on Wednesdays this year, of course there will be no meetings for the Genealogy Users Group. Come back for the next get-together on Wednesday, January 8 at 7 p.m.
We have had a request from your group to use the smaller Conference Room inside the library instead of the larger Meeting Room B. We'll set you up in the Conference Room and you can let us know how that goes. We know in the beginning, that room would not have been large enough: it will hold only 12 people.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and we'll see you all in January!

Updates on Two Online Resources
Remote Access Available Once Again for NewspaperArchive

We want to be sure you know that we have been able to restore remote access (that's access from your home computers!) to our NewspaperArchive database. If you've been frustrated at having to use it only here at the library, give it a try again now. You'll need to use your library card.
Our Marion Digital Archives Advantage service will be unavailable due to updates on Friday, December 27; our provider assures us it should be up and running by 5:00 p.m. that evening.
