Adventures in Wreck Diving!
Saturday, June 29, 2 p.m.

Ready to go Beneath the Surface? This Saturday, join us in the meeting room to explore shipwrecks with diving instructor Jim Wiegand from Seatasea Watersports.

Jim will show us pictures of shipwrecks he's seen and talk about scuba diving and wreck diving in depth. He'll also bring in a variety of diving equipment to see and touch. If you've always wanted to learn more about diving and shipwrecks, this is your chance!

There is no pre-registration for this program. Find more great summer events with no registration necessary below.
Pre-Registration Events
All events that required pre-registration are full. Thanks to everybody for their enthusiasm for the library's teen summer programs! We've had a lot of fun so far with art classes and the CSI: Library Lock-in. Check out the pictures on Facebook.

Coming up in July, we have Fairy Garden Terrariums, Cooking Capers, Paint Layering and Collage with Erin Thomas, and the final party Masquerade Lock-in. If you're signed up for one of these events and can't come, please let us know as soon as possible, since there are waiting lists.

Not sure what you're signed up for? Email Cressant and ask if you're on the list for one of July's pre-registration events. If you haven't turned in your permission forms for Cooking Capers and the Masquerade Lock-in, please turn them in soon!

And don't forget about all the other events that you don't have to sign up for!
July Crafternoons
Tuesdays, 3:30 - 5 p.m.

If you didn't get a chance to sign up for the art classes or the Fairy Garden Terrariums, you can still come to Crafternoons in July! On July 9, we're making Rocking Crafts: paint and decoupage rocks and make glass magnets.

On July 23, dig through a mountain of trash (the non-smelly kind) and create your own unique treasure. Let your imagination go wild with this recycling craft.

And on July 31, make your own souvenir of this summer's library fun by decorating a t-shirt. Please bring your own t-shirt (that way you know it fits). We'll experiment with different stenciling, painting, and bleaching techniques.
Madcap Puppets!
Saturday, July 13, 2 p.m.

Not just for kids! If you like your fairy tales a little twisted, come see The Cinderella Fileswhere the fairy godmother goes on vacation and leaves her husband, Ralph, in charge of getting Cinderella to the ball. Come for the giant puppets, stay for the laughs. See a sneak preview or visit the Madcap Puppets online.
It's not too late! Sign up now for the Teen Summer Reading Program
Summer Reading lasts through July 27

Go Beneath the Surface this summer with the teen reading program! We'll peek under superhero masks, dig up secrets, and dive into the sea. And who are you Beneath the Surface? Express yourself with art programs and get dirty planting a terrarium. At the end of the summer, we'll have a Masquerade Lock-in with costumes, food, games, and Grand Prize drawings. The teen summer reading program is for young adults going into 5th - 12th grades.
