Early Out Craft: Shrinky Dinks!earlyout
Wednesday, March 6, 1:30 - 4 p.m.

Need something to do on those early-out days from school? The library has the answer! Every day that Marion Schools let out early, we'll have something special going on in Meeting Room A. Play video games, board games, watch a movie, make a craft, or just hang out. If you're home-schooled or don't get out of school early on those days, just come when you want!

This month we're creating with shrink plastic! Draw and color on special plastic, stick it in a toaster oven, and watch it shrink. We'll have some ideas for you, but you're welcome to bring your own pictures to trace. (Things with easy outlines work best, like the examples to the right.) Once they're shrunk, turn your creations into sun catchers, jewelry, or key chains!

animeclubAnime Club!
Monday, March 4, 4 - 5:30 p.m.

Join us every month to hang out with other people who love anime as we watch shows and eat Japanese snacks. If you have your own anime or manga artwork, bring it to show off!

Anime Club meets the first Monday of each month throughout the year. Mark your calendars for the next meeting on April 1! (No fooling.)

Teen Tech Week Craftteentech

Cyber junk or cyber treasure? Stop by after school to create with old keyboards. Make a key chain with your initials, a pin that says READ, or a necklace with your favorite number. Take trash and make it into treasure!

Teen Tech Week is March 10 - 16. All through the week we'll showcase books about techy teens, post tech tips to our Facebook page, and offer resources to get your geek on with computer coding, music, art, and anything else you can do with a computer. Get a head start with these great sites:

Learn to code interactively, for free.

Make music and share it on Facebook.
