SAGUARO ORCHESTRA AND BAND CONCERT EXTRAVAGANZA

Treat yourself to one of our annual holiday traditions by attending this concert extravaganza! Saxophonist Rob Verdi will join the band and strings to play 2 pieces. Verdi is the Los Angeles-based founding member of the classic swing ensemble "Side Street Strutters," a touring act and performing group featured at Disneyland since 1985. Verdi has a touring reputation as a solo performer based on his 2008 creation of "Saxophobia." The show features his enormous collection of instruments, including a six-foot tall contrabass saxophone. He has recorded two albums, "Prose and Conn-versations, featuring the Conn-O-Sax" and "Saxophobia." This Saguaro orchestra and band collaboration will entertain and delight you - bring the whole family!

CAROLERS FOR HIRE
If you are planning a holiday party this year, you could make it an extra special event by hiring students from Saguaro High School's award-winning Vocal Music Dept. to sing Christmas, Hanukkah and other holiday tunes to entertain your guests. You may even use your AZ tax credit money to pay the group, and you will not only get all of that money back from the state but you will be helping a Voices of Saguaro student have the opportunity to make their way to Orlando, FL, where they will be competing in a Music in the Parks Festival at Universal Studios. Scottsdale Community College will be hosting its annual open house on FRIDAY FEB. 20, 2015 from 9:30am-1:00pm for Seniors interested in becoming an artichoke. The event will be held at SCC and is an opportunity for you to learn about the college admissions process, the different academic degree and certificate programs, and what makes SCC unique.
