STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Saturday, November 29th
11:30 am, ASU Sun Devil Stadium
After their win over Queen Creek Friday night, our Sabercats move on to the State Championship game against Williams Field on Saturday. We hope everybody will come out to Sun Devil Stadium and cheer for our Cats!

SAGUARO THEATRE PRODUCTION: 
"THE GREAT GATSBY"
December 3rd-5th
7:00 pm, Auditorum
Saguaro Theatre is proud to present F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby," adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. Shows will be December 3rd, 4th, and 5th (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) at 7:00 pm in the Saguaro Auditorium. Concessions are available before the show and during intermission. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for adults and can be purchased before the performance or from the campus bookstore that week.
 
You can also support Saguaro Theatre by purchasing tickets to the SCAT Booster Club prize drawings. Bring home a wonderful prize for yourself (or gift for someone you love). Tickets are only $2 each or 3 for $5 and will be available during the three performances of The Great Gatsby.

 
ATTENTION SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS:
EVIT FIELD TRIP
December 4th
8:00-11:30 am
ATTENTION Sophomores and Juniors!  If you're interested in attending the East Valley Institute of Technology during the 2015-16 school year, the Guidance Department is providing a field trip to see the EVIT campus and learn more about the many exciting programs they offer.  The field trip will be held on Thursday, December 4th from 8 AM to 11:30 AM.  Please see Mrs. Breen in the Guidance office to sign up to attend and pick up a parent permission slip.  The slips must be signed and returned to her by Monday, December 1st.  We have 50 spots available on the bus and they fill up fast!

Senior parents,  if you would like to recognize your son or daughter with an ad in their senior yearbook, there is still space available!  Submit a favorite photo(s) and a heartfelt congratulatory message, and our yearbook staff will create an ad that your child will cherish forever.

CAROLERS FOR HIRE
If you are planning a holiday party this year, you could make it an extra special event by hiring students from Saguaro High School's award-winning Vocal Music Dept. to sing Christmas, Hanukkah and other holiday tunes to entertain your guests.  You may even use your AZ tax credit money to pay the group, and you will not only get all of that money back from the state but you will be helping a Voices of Saguaro student have the opportunity to make their way to Orlando, FL, where they will be competing in a Music in the Parks Festival at Universal Studios.  A small group (10-12) is available for $250 per hour.  E-mail or call Mrs. GayLin Tutnick, SHS Vocal Music Instructor at gtutnick@susd.org or 480-484-7158 to make arrangements.

 
CHARROS FUTURE TEACHER SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Charro Foundation is accepting applications for Future Teacher Scholarships. The Future Teacher Scholarship was established as a means to encourage SUSD students to pursue a career as a teacher. Two scholarships in the amount of $20,000 each will be awarded at $5,000 per academic year, beginning in 2015-2016. All scholarship recipients must be admitted to a College of Education at one of the three state universities (ASU, U of A or NAU) and meet all of the qualifications outlined in The Charro Foundation Future Teacher Scholarship application. CLICK HERE to view the Future Teacher Scholarship application. The deadline for students to submit an application is December 1st.

Kaplan Test Prep, in partnership with SUSD, is offering free online test prep to all SUSD students for SAT, ACT and PSAT tests.

To sign up:

2) Once directed to the product page, click "Enroll Now"

One way our PTO raises money is through the Fry's Community Rewards program.  It is easy:  if you have a Fry's card, simply link it to our organization and we earn money every time you shop!

*Enter your email and password then select 'sign in.'

*Under Select Your Organization: Select box next to our organization.

*Then select 'save changes.'
