Habitat Broward
Dedicates Ten Homes Saturday,
Habitat Broward and City of Sunrise will dedicate ten homes that were purchased and renovated through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) in Sunrise, FL. NSP is designed to stabilize areas of Sunrise hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis, while providing affordable homeownership opportunities to families in need of safe, decent housing.
The highlight of the celebration is the official presentation of the keys to our new homeowners, by City officials, including Mayor Ryan. Following the ceremony, the families will give tours of their homes.
The Clayton, Demps, Ferguson, C. Johnson, R. Johnson, Losier, Mozie, Smith, Tolbert and Woods-Harris families each invested a minimum of 400 sweat equity hours in Habitat home construction and attended home-buyer education, empowering them to become self-sufficient and responsible homeowners.
The dedication celebration will be held at
Fire Station #39, Village Civic Center,
6800 Sunset Strip, Sunrise, FL 33313.

HFHB's Clay Shooting Tournament Presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood
On June 7, Habitat Broward hosted their inaugural Clay Shooting Tournament, presented by Seminole Hard Rock
Hotel & Casino, Hollywood.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic day of clay shooting, a delicious barbecue lunch, and great fellowship. Team Hard Rock finished first, with the team of Tony Mason, Wes Paradise and Jeff Angello. A special thank you to Habitat Broward Board Members Robert Taylor and Susan Renneisen for serving as committee chairs.

Habitat Broward's Young Professionals are excited to host a networking event at
YOLO-333 East Las Olas Blvd, Ft Lauderdale from 7-10 PM.

Party With A Purpose!
Thursday, August 15, from 5:30-7:30pm at The Swamp Bar - 5721 Seminole Way, Hollywood
Party with a Purpose is a monthly networking and fundraising event that brings community leaders
together to raise funds and awareness for a different non-profit each month in partnership with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood.
Admission is $10 per person
There will be a 50/50 Cash Raffle: (Raffle tickets are sold for $5 each or 5
tickets for $20)
There will be an exciting silent auction! |
