OUR FEATURED COMMUNITY PARTNER The Methodist Church Food Pantry
| |
At Cross Insurance, our goal is to help support as many local non- profit organizations as we can, as we are proud to give back to the community that supports us. Our team of coworkers participates in CASUAL ATTIRE DAY on Fridays, where we contribute a weekly donation to a community charity of one's choice for this privilege.
Our most recent community partner (from last year and this year,) is the Moultonboro United Methodist Church Food Pantry, that assists in placing meals on the table of many families in our greater community.

OUR CROSS CLIENTS - SERVING THE COMMUNITY THIS HALLOWEEN!

We all enjoyed seeing two of our Cross Insurance clients dressed for Halloween, when they served lunch at the local Lion's Club Meals on Wheels. From left to right: Bobby Locke and Bev Person, their 'doll' friend!

 Greetings:
Welcome to the first issue of our monthly newsletter for clients and friends of Cross Insurance, where you will find an array of current, protection and savings information for you, your family or your business. As we also understand how important it is to be involved in our local community, we are confident that you will enjoy learning all about our Referral Program, our Featured Community Partner, and much more! You can unsubscribe at any time, and as always - we appreciate your feedback and your suggestions for our newsletter and our services.
Speaking about current protection information, as Sandy has passed through our region, we hope that you and your family remained safe. All in all, we were very fortunate not to have been hit too hard, compared to others less fortunate in the New Jersey and New York area. If you have suffered loss or damage, we wish you a speedy return to pre-storm conditions, and if you need assistance, we will work on your behalf to see that your insurance carrier processes your insurance claim both promptly and fairly, so you get the results you deserve.
In like manner, most of us couldn't have guessed that we would encounter an earthquake and super storm within a couple of weeks of each other! While the likelihood of both events taking place back to back is rare, it's important to reemphasize that both flooding (resulting from storms and hurricane conditions) and earthquakes are not covered by a standard homeowners policy. Flood requires a separate application and policy to the National Flood Insurance Program, which you can apply for through our office.
Floods are the most common and costly natural disaster, and to determine your risk, you can learn more about the pro's and con's of flood protection here. Equally important is that the overall earthquake risk to our area is high, and many buildings and homes are not built to modern earthquake standards. Read on to find out why earthquake insurance is important everywhere, along with earthquake protection and exclusions for commercial properties.
Give us a call today for sound advice pertaining to storm, flood and earthquake protection, or to answer any of your questions about the informative resources here in our November newsletter. Our trusted advisors look forward to assisting you and your unique needs.
Very best regards,
Peter

DON'T UNDER (OR OVER) INSURE
YOUR HOME
Do you have the right amount of insurance on your home? To begin with, your Homeowners policy should have coverage for at least 80% of "replacement cost" -- the amount needed to repair or replace damage to the building and furnishings with items of like kind and quality. Some insurance companies require coverage of 90% or more under a "guaranteed replacement cost option," which will pay for replacing your home without depreciation and often without a maximum reconstruction payment. Learn more about determining the proper replacement cost value and coverage amount on your home.
If you have any questions regarding the replacement value of your home, please call or email Gail Dascoulias, or any of our Personal Account Managers today. You'll be glad you did!
