Gold: Desire, Design, and Demand -- Initiatives in Art and Culture's fourth annual international gold conference -- takes a wide-ranging look at this precious metal on April 11-12, with a focus on gold jewelry, exploring in particular the importance of design and the emotional and enduring value and durability of gold.

Jewelers of America's Director of Public Affairs, Susan Thea Posnock, is participating on the panel "Fair Gold: Artisanal Miners, Traceability, and the Marketplace," on Friday, April 11, 3:30-4:30pm.
