JEWELS CURNOW
Saturday April 13,
1 - 4pm
Robbie and Chantay Curnow will be showcasing their latest collection of jewelry. Set in silver with rough and polished rubies, emeralds, diamonds, sapphires, tourmaline, topaz, and garnets, the gems float as they are set into the molten sterling silver at the time of casting. A unique design featuring stones that are suspended in silver as they harden.
Robbie Curnow is a master goldsmith who began his career as a jeweler at a very young age. He has spent several decades perfecting his skills. He strives to exceed the limitations of conventional jewelry making. He explores the potential that geometry and proportion have on creating extraordinary works from ordinary materials. Jewels Curnow is the name of his jewelry line and is nothing short of unique, daring, exceptionally beautiful and innovative wearable art.
Chantay Curnow has a discerning eye for detail and design. Her work is based in nature and organic matter. Her designs are created by forging, repousse and chasing of metal. Each time she creates a piece of jewelry she pushes the limitations of the metal and the design. Creating a curious yet beautiful piece of jewelry art.
KOBO, a Japanese word that means studio, featuring art, craft and design.
