Ready for Back to School!

Christmas in July is behind us, and it's time to get ready for Back to School!  Our fall class schedule includes some of our great Christmas projects, and also our Back to School Beginning Sewing Camp for Moms!  Read on for all the details!

Upcoming Classes!
moms camp
Beginning Sewing Camp for Moms - Tuesday, September 8 through Friday, September 11, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Spaces are limited.  See our classes page for details!

Beginning English Smocking -  Beginning English Smocking is typically offered each month as a two class series on the first two Thursdays, 9 to 11 a.m. or 6 to 8 p.m.  This month's classes will be August 6th and 13th.  September classes will be on September 3rd and 10th.  Call 501 227-0288 to register.

In September, our first Saturday Sew Much Fun Class on September 5 will be the Jelly Clip Mini Purse! This little cutie uses the small jelly clip frame which is available in a variety of fun colors and would be a great coin purse or small cosmetic bag.  Warning:  You will want to make lots of these!

Snappy Slippers - Saturday, August 8, 10 - 3.  Join Stacie to make these cute and cozy slippers with their own cute and cozy bag!  Thinking ahead, what a great Christmas gift these would be!

Pineapple Quilt - Saturday, August 15th, 9:30 - 3. Carol will be helping you use your scraps to create this beauty!  This one is currently full, but we are happy to put you on the wait list if you would like to give us a call.  And if you are signed up and won't be able to come, PLEASE let us know as soon as possible so someone else can have your spot!

Rag Quilt - Friday, August 21 or Saturday, September 12, 9:30 - 3.  Get your Woolies flannels and join Carol for this fun fall project!

Machine Embroidery Software Class - Saturday, August 22, 10 to 11 a.m. - This class covers a variety of machine embroidery related topics, including aspects of using 4D, 5D, and 6D embroidery software. If you own an embroidery machine, you will find this class useful, and if you have or are considering purchasing software, you won't want to miss it!

Viking Club - Saturday, August 22, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join us on the fourth Saturday of the month for Viking Club to learn new ways to use your sewing machine, and to see demos of the newest gadgets and notions! There will be door prizes and lots of fun!  Bring a project for Show and Tell!

Store and Go Zipper Case - Saturday, August 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Join Stacie and make your own cute, cozy pair with their own cute and cozy bag.  Choose a charm pack and a bit of yardage and you're all set!

Let It Snow Again - Fridays, September 11 and 18 (attend both sessions). This is the beautiful new batik snowflake quilt from Laundry Basket Quilts.  It was very popular during Christmas in July, and we only have 2 kits left, so if you want to grab a kit and sign up for the class, be sure to call right away!

Winter Celebration Tree Skirt - Saturday, September 19, 10 - 3.  Carol will teach you the techniques used to create this beauty in the fabrics of your choosing.  There is a very helpful ruler involved!

Spread the Cheer Quilt - Tuesday, September 22 and 29, 10 to 3.  If you love snowmen like we do, you won't be able to resist this one!  The fabrics are such a great mix of whimsical and vintage.  Join Meghan to create this very special quilt which will become a Christmas treasure in your home.

Sweet Feet In the Hoop Embroidery Project -Friday, September 25, 10 to 2.  How cute are these!  Peggy will help you to create your Sweet Feet in either the Halloween or Christmas version, done entirely in the hoop on your embroidery machine.  But you have to provide your own Oreo's!

Sit and Quilt - Our next Sit and Quilt days will be Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This is the perfect opportunity to bring an unfinished class project or other quilt project to work on with members of our staff nearby for questions when you need a bit of guidance. Please call to reserve a place. 
Sit and Sew - Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
Sit and Sew is a great opportunity for those of you with sewing experience who are making children's clothes to come in and enjoy fellowship, with Sharon Chandler available to answer questions when you come to a tough spot! Please call to reserve a place. 

Sewing Classes for Adults and Children - Barbara Steely has limited openings in her Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday morning sewing classes for adults as well as fall Home School or After School classes for children and teens.  Classes will be available for all skill levels.  For more information, please contact Barbara directly at 501 680-4521 or bksteely@gmail.com.

Our Tuesday evening Adult Sewing classes are taught by Martha Douglas. Martha's classes are also suitable for all skill levels including beginners!  For information on openings, please call Martha at 501 920-0929. 

The classes page on our website provides our class policies including our refund policy, and more detailed information on many of our classes.  Please remember that payment is required to secure your spot in a class, and even if there is no class fee, you must be registered!
