Stitchin' Post license plate
Row by Row Experience 2015! 
We are pleased to announce that the Stitchin' Post will be participating in the 2015 Row by Row Experience!  If you are not familiar with this exciting and fun nationwide summer quilt shop program, take a look here!  Many participating shops will have fabric license plates available, which are designed to represent the spirit and personality of the shop and its location.  Our license plate is shown in the adjacent photo.  The pattern for our row is nearing completion and will be unveiled next month!

Book your spot in kid's summer sewing classes while there's still time!
Summer sewing classes for children and teens are filling up!  Options this year include Children/Teen Sewing Classes with Barbara Steely as well as Stitchin' Post sewing camps!

Two openings remain in our Stitchin' Post Creative Camp for beginning sewists, June 16 - 20 (Tuesday through Saturday), 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.  We also have openings in the intermediate level camp will be offered July 13 - 17 for those with previous sewing experience (attendance at beginning camp, or equivalent).  Please call the shop at 501 227-0288 for more information on the camps.

Barbara Steely will be offering a full schedule of summer classes which will include classes for children and teens as well as a Mom and Me class designed for a child to attend with Mom, Grandma, or another adult.  Barbara's classes are filling up, so you will want to contact her soon for more information at 501 680-4521 or bksteely@gmail.com.

Beginning English Smocking -  Beginning English Smocking is typically offered each month as a two class series on the first two Thursdays, 9 to 11 a.m. or 6 to 8 p.m.  May classes will be May 7th and 14th.  June classes will be the 4th and 11th.  Call 501 227-0288 to register.

Sew Much Fun - Our May Sew Much Fun class project, the Diva Frame Wallet, was so popular that we are offering a second session on Saturday, May 16!  Give us a call to sign up and join the fun.  Class is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., but everyone in the first class was finished early!

In June, our Sew Much Fun project will be Boutique Baby Rags!  Make plans to join us on Saturday, June, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to make this super cute burp cloth for a special baby gift!

French Hand Sewing and Heirloom Embroidery -  For the next 3 months, the meeting programs of La Petite Roche, our local smocking guild chapter, will involve creating a lovely church doll using traditional French hand sewing techniques and beautiful hand embroidery.  The guild meets on the second Thursday of each month, so this month's meeting will be Thursday, May 14th.  Guests are welcome.  Bring lunch and join guild members in the Stitchin' Post cafe room at 11 a.m. if you can.  The short business meeting begins at 12 noon, followed by the program 12:15 to 2 p.m.  Please call the shop at 501 227-0288 if you would like to sign up to attend the program.  A kit fee will apply.

Vagabond Quilt - Tuesday, June 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Join Stacie to make this beautiful modern quilt using simple piecing and fusible applique.  The kit includes precut fussy cut hexagons, ready to use!

Machine Embroidery Software Class - Saturday, May 23rd, 10 to 11 a.m. - This class covers a variety of machine embroidery related topics, including aspects of using 4D, 5D, and 6D embroidery software. If you own an embroidery machine, you will find this class useful, and if you have or are considering purchasing software, you won't want to miss it!

Viking Club - Saturday, May 23rd, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Join us on the fourth Saturday of the month for Viking Club to learn new ways to use your sewing machine, and to see demos of the newest gadgets and notions! There will be door prizes and lots of fun!  Bring a project for Show and Tell!

Sit and Quilt - Our next Sit and Quilt days will be Friday, May 22 and Saturday May 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This is the perfect opportunity to bring an unfinished class project or other quilt project to work on with members of our staff nearby for questions when you need a bit of guidance. Please call to reserve a place. 
Sit and Sew - Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
Sit and Sew is a great opportunity for those of you with sewing experience who are making children's clothes to come in and enjoy fellowship, with Sharon Chandler available to answer questions when you come to a tough spot! Please call to reserve a place.  
Sewing Classes for Adults and Children - Barbara Steely is finalizing her schedule of summer sewing classes for adults as well as children and teens.  Classes will be available for all skill levels.  For more information, please contact Barbara directly at 501 680-4521 or bksteely@gmail.com.

Our Tuesday evening Adult Sewing classes are taught by Martha Douglas. Martha's classes are also suitable for all skill levels including beginners!  For information on openings, please call Martha at 501 920-0929.
