Happy New Year!
As 2015 begins, we wish all of you health and happiness throughout the coming year!  We have some fresh new fabrics and patterns in the shop with more on the way, and a calendar full of classes for you to enjoy!  Some great pre-inventory sale prices are in effect Friday and Saturday, January 2nd and 3rd!  Remember, we will be closed for inventory on Monday, January 5th.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

Amish With a Twist 2
The kick off of our Amish With a Twist II 2015 Block of the Month will be Saturday, January 31, 10 a.m. to noon.  Enjoy some special culinary items and meet some of your fellow Block of the Month participants .  We have had an overwhelming response to this BOM and have ordered more fabric and patterns, so if you want in, we still have some openings.  Our shop quilt was made by Stacie Ferguson and quilted by Joyce Dempsey.  Be sure to come by and take a look!

Sew Much Fun! - Saturday, January 3, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This new class replaces our Bag Lady class.  The January project will be the  Rose Garden Pouch taught by Stacie Ferguson.  Sew Much Fun! - Saturday, February 7th, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Rise and Shine Placemats.  Join Stacie to make this new version of our very popular rooster placemats!

Self-Binding Blanket - This is the first in our series of classes featuring projects from Block Magazine.  Saturday, January 10 or Thursday, January 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Join Stacie to make this quick and cuddly cutie for your favorite boy or girl. (Saturday class is currently full.) Rag Quilt - (our second Block Magazine class offering) -Saturday, January 17 or Wednesday, January 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Join Carol Flowers to make this cuddly, fun, and easy quilt to snuggle under!

Beginning Quilting Mini Bootcamp - Saturday, February 7th.  This one day class will teach the basics of quilting, including cutting, piecing, layering, quilting, and binding. If you would like to learn basic quilting skills but don't have time for a mufti-session class, this is a great option for you! 

Introduction to Free Motion Quilting - Saturday, February 28th 1 - 4 p.m. or Tuesday, , 1 to 4 p.m.  If you have always wanted to try free motion quilting on your sewing machine but have been a little afraid to try, join Lucy Neal to learn the basics and see if free motion quilting is for you!

Sit and Quilt - Our next Sit and Quilt days will be Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 31st, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  This is the perfect opportunity to bring an unfinished class project or other quilt project to work on with members of our staff nearby for questions when you need a bit of guidance. Please call to reserve a place. 
Sit and Sew - Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  
Sit and Sew is a great opportunity for those of you with sewing experience who are making children's clothes to come in and enjoy fellowship, with Sharon Chandler available to answer questions when you come to a tough spot! Please call to reserve a place.

Machine Embroidery (Not Just) Software Class  - Saturday, January 24, 10 to 11 a.m. This free class will help you to learn to make the most of your embroidery machine and software, and if you are considering a software purchase, this class will provide valuable information.  Bring your laptop and your projects for Show and Tell! Viking Club - Saturday, January 24, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Join us for some great tips, demos, and lots of good general sewing info.  Don't have a Viking sewing machine?  That's OK, come on anyway and join the fun.  Everyone is encouraged to bring your sewing projects for Show and Tell. No machine needed. TruEmbroidery Lab -  Andrew DeClue will be available for appointments for anyone who would like help using their Mac with their embroidery machine. Just give us a call if you would like to schedule an appointment. 

  

Sewing Classes for Adults and Children - Barbara Steely's sewing classes for adults and children will resume following Christmas break beginning on Monday, January 12.   Barbara currently has openings in her adult classes on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.  These classes are suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced seamstresses.  Home School classes are on Wednesday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., and openings are available.  After school classes for children and teens are offered on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30, and a special four week Introduction to Sewing class will be offered on Thursdays, January 23 through February 13.  For more information, please contact Barbara directly at 501 680-4521 or bksteely@gmail.com.

Our Tuesday evening Adult Sewing classes are taught by Martha Douglas. Martha's classes are also suitable for all skill levels including beginners!  For information on openings, please call Martha at 501 920-0929. 

The classes page on our website provides our class policies including our refund policy, and more detailed information on many of our classes.  Please remember that payment is required to secure your spot in a class, and even if there is no class fee, you must be registered!
