Here Comes Santa Claus!

December, 2014

GB close up
Dear Friends,

It's that very special time of year once again.  A time when we reflect on the joys of our family and friends, and remember the meaning of the season.  We celebrate the new beginnings that have happened through the year, and we sense very strongly the absence of those loved ones who are no longer here with us.  Each day those of us at the Stitchin' Post feel the strong sense of community among those who sew and quilt.  You are a wonderful group of loving people and we are thankful to be a part of your world.  We appreciate each and every one of you.  We know that all of you are very busy at this point, but we hope you will find a bit of time to come to a "Make and Take," or maybe just stop by to sit and visit a few minutes.  We wish you a happy and blessed holiday season, and the very best in 2015.  Thank you again for your support.

All of Your Friends at the Stitchin' Post

P.S. We still have some really cute Christmas quilt kits available, including the Gingerbread Man Quilt shown above (photo is of one block).

What Goes on at Viking Club?
repurpose jeans
Many of you join us each month on the fourth Saturday for Viking Club.  For those of you who haven't been coming yet, here's an idea of what you're missing. In our November Viking Club we talked about using the triple stitch on your sewing machine to simulate hand embroidery, we demonstrated how to use the handy jean-a ma-jig that came with your machine, and we showed some great tools, ideas and techniques for repurposing old blue jeans!  Each month is a conglomeration of information and ideas to help increase your sewing knowlege.  And, there are discounts and door prizes!  There's nothing to bring -- except any Show and Tell sewing projects you would like to share.  Come and join us this month on December 27th, and each month during 2015 on the fourth Saturday!
