Reinventing Medicaid Working Group Final Report

On July 8, Governor Raimondo's Executive Order establishing a Working Group to Reinvent Medicaid was fulfilled with a final convening of the Working Group and a presentation of its final report outlining recommendations for a multi-year transformation of the Medicaid program and all state publicly financed healthcare in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT was pleased to serve on the Working Group. Among the important goals contained in the final report, Goal 3 states that as Rhode Island makes significant changes in the structure of Medicaid, we should build on the strong success of the RIte Care program and ensure that this strength is not eroded. RIte Care was recently ranked #1 in the country by CMS for quality care for children.
