New Issue Brief: Child Poverty in Rhode Island
Did you know that one in five Rhode Island children (44,943) lives in poverty?

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT recently released a new Issue BriefChild Poverty in Rhode Island, which describes the prevalence and impact of child poverty statewide and in Rhode Island communities, and provides recommendations for short-term assistance and long-term solutions to lift families out of poverty. 

HSRI Health Coverage - Open Enrollment Ends February 15
Having health insurance coverage is good for your health! 

Open Enrollment for health coverage through HealthSource RI (HSRI) ends February 15.
  • Rhode Islanders who had health coverage through HSRI last year should renew through HSRI by February 15.
  • Rhode Islanders who do not have health coverage should apply through HSRI by February 15.
