RIte Care Alert: 6,000+ Parents Losing RIte Care Health Coverage
The RIte Care eligibility limit for parents is scheduled to be "rolled back" from 175% FPL ($34,177 for a family of 3) to 138% FPL ($26,951) on December 31, 2013.  

For more information about the impending RIte Care parent eligibility change and what parents need to do, please review the following:
Please note: Children enrolled in RIte Care will keep their coverage (there is no income eligibility change for children). Beginning January 2014, families will no longer need to pay a monthly premium for their children covered by RIte Care.
New Issue Brief: Young Children with Developmental Delays & Disabilities
Rhode Island KIDS COUNT recently released its newest Issue Brief -  Young Children with Developmental Delay & Disabilities- at a policy roundtable attended by policy makers, education leaders, state agencies, and community members.

The Issue Brief focuses on the importance of developmental screening, outlines available supports and programs, and provides recommendations for improvement. For more, please see the news release and event pictures.
RIte Care Results Released at Celebration of Children's Health Luncheon

More than 175 community leaders, elected officials, and health care experts gathered for the 13th annual Celebration of Children's Health Luncheon, which highlighted the continued successes and importance of RIte Care, RI's health insurance program for low- and moderate- income children and families. Covering Kids Awards were presented to community leaders and elected officials.

The event also marked the release of RIte Care Results, which documents the many positive outcomes of RIte Care. For more, please see the news release, presentation, and event pictures.
